After your Jagua Appointment

Jagua GEL (standard)

BE VERY CAREFUL as you allow your jagua to dry. This takes around 40 minutes depending on the humidity.

NOTE: JAGUA STAINS VERY QUICKLY. IF YOU SMEAR IT, YOU COULD STAIN IN THE SHAPE OF YOUR SMEAR.

Leave jagua gel on for 1-3 hours.

Allow ROOM TEMPERATURE water to run over dried gel for a whole minute to soften it. This prevents smearing during the next step.

Now manually wash dried gel off under RUNNING, soapy water. You may use a rag to aid this, but do not rub gel into skin.  Keep the water running over it the whole time until it's completely off.

Be thorough in removing all of the gel, but gentle on your skin.

DO NOT PANIC!  Your stain will barely be visible at this point.

Jagua PASTE

Allow paste to dry completely.

After 3 hours, remove dried jagua paste over a sink using a towel or edge of a nail file, credit card, or dull butter knife.

If we taped it, remove tape.

Now wash the area under ROOM TEMP, RUNNING soapy water.

DO NOT PANIC!  Your stain will barely be visible at this point.

Aftercare for your Jagua Stain

Your jagua stain will BARELY BE VISIBLE now

Your stain will develop over the next 12-48 hours

Avoid hot water while allowing the stain to develop

Shower as usual

Prior to bathing, apply a waxy balm to keep water out. (Lip balm, coconut oil, etc.)

Note: For the first 24 hours, you jagua stain can transfer to other parts of your body. If we did your hands, do not sleep with your hands on your face!
